How do I clean and care for my Carved KC product?
CUTTING BOARDS/SERVING TRAYS
Boards are lathered with an FDA Food-Safe (free of toxins and synthetics) Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil and Wood Wax. This combination of products enhances the natural beauty of the wood, leaving your board with a smooth finish and rich color, while simultaneously repelling water and food particles. To clean, hand wash only with mild soap and warm water, and allow plenty of time to dry.
TABLES
Tables are sealed with a matte Furniture Finish made by Walrus Oil. These products are free of dyes and added dryers, and are made of completely natural ingredients; which makes cleaning your table easy! Just dust with a damp rag and wipe up any spills using mild soap and warm water. Avoid oil-, bleach-, or silicone-based cleaners, as well as: aggressive scrubbing, prolonged moisture contact and no setting of hot items directly on the surface.
What's your typical lead time?
This can depend on what your order consists of, and how many orders fall before yours.
Typically, larger projects run between about 6-8 weeks. Smaller projects, such as cutting boards or serving trays can be finished and shipped in 2-3 weeks.
I am a “one-woman show” business, so I’ve been grateful to the people that have shown me grace – I promise I’m doing my best to get things out the door as quickly as possible. If there is a delay, it's only because your piece may need a little extra TLC, and I want to make sure you're getting the very best product from me.
Where do you source your wood from?
Most wood used is sourced from my friends at The Lumber Shack in Webster City, Iowa. They have an incredible assortment of pieces and are dedicated to always exceeding their customers’ needs.
